LOCATION

The Provincial Training Center Tubigon is located in the northwestern part of the Province of Bohol in Brgy. Potohan, Municipality of Tubigon. The training center is constructed on a 5,000 sq.m. lot which the host municipality had donated to TESDA in early 1996.

PURPOSE / ROLE

The center aims to serve technical vocational education training (TVET) needs of the local sector and those living in the adjoining towns not served by other PTCs. It also serves as an Assessment Center in the conduct of Competency Assessment.

DATE OF INITIAL OPERATION

 PTC Tubigon started operations in 1998. Direct supervision and management of the institution during 1998 was under the stewardship of the local government of Tubigon. TESDA took control of the facility in 1999 until the present.

TRAINER COMPLIMENT

PTC Tubigon boasts of NTTC training staff in Dressmaking, Tailoring, Electronics Product Assembly and Servicing, Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production, Hilot/Wellness Massage NC II, Masonry NC I, Mushroom Production, Produce Organic Concoction and Extracts, Contact Tracing Level II and Driving NC II.

TRAINING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

PTC Tubigon is equipped with all the machines and equipment which are necessary to carry out the task of skills training and development.

TRAINEES AT PRESENT

There are 703 trainees enrolled in the seven qualifications, 654 of whom have already graduated, 432 employed or undergoing OJT.
